WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Children must be 8 years old or over. Participants must be able to walk over a mile on fields and footpaths.
Physical activity:
The farm is on a slope and we walk over grassy tracks and paths. The pace is quite slow, as alpacas like to look round and take in their surroundings. The walks are not suitable for people with walking difficulties or young children. However, farm visits can be arranged by appointment.
Clothing and Equipment:
Waterproof footwear with closed toes is advisable and gloves and scarves on cold days are a must. You are walking in the countryside and the grass may be wet, and some areas can be muddy.
Weather:
We walk if it is drizzling or light rain but not if it’s pouring with rain; on some days we can postpone your walk for a short while, or we can rearrange your walk for another date. Please call for advice before you leave if the weather is bad.
